Help Haiti
As you many of you know, on January 12th, an earthquake hit the impoverished Caribbean nation of Haiti. It is clearly evident that the devastation is wide-spread – early Red Cross estimates have reached upwards of 50,000 people dead and millions more affected. Infrastructures which typically help in times like these (hospitals, relief aid, food banks, etc.) are either non-existent or severely impacted.
Suffering of this magnitude is heart-breaking to watch. However, I believe it is important that we not simply stand by but rather do what we can in the face of such immense tragedy. As a church, it is a privilege to come alongside the nation of Haiti with our help, prayers, and comfort.
